Starting my Own Business

Everyone is going through a tough time right now. Unfortunately we are one of them, my husband is the only one working so money is really tight right now. I wish i could help him pay our bills, sometimes i felt depressed knowing i cant do anything about it. It so hard to work when you have two kids, we could have hire a babysitter to watch them while we are both working but I'm not really comfortable leaving my kids with other people. It is so hard when you are away from your family, especially when you need help from them.

Anyway, As time passes I am more and more interested to earn money to help my husband pay our bills. I'm one of those stay at home mom who want to earn an income while staying at home and watching my kids at the same time. I'm thinking about starting a home based business but i don't know how. Right now I'm collecting some more information about how to start a business, hopefully i could learn more from it. Since we do not have enough money to start a business i am planning to get a small business grants or loan.

I heard that local government agencies and federal government agencies will provide grants for starting a business. I'm planning to give them a call or search their web sites online after i finalize everything. I need to have a serious talk with my husband first. Hopefully when everything is done i could get a business grants right away to start my business.

New House

Recently we moved into a new house because my husband got transferred with his job. I always dread the things that have to be done when you move into a new house, like setting up the phone, internet, TV, power, trash pick-up, and water. Luckily, my husband set up everything except for the security system and told me he was going to leave that one up to me. I decided to ask around among our new neighbors to see what kind of security system most people in the neighborhood use. Its already midnight here but I'm still wide awake. I just got done taking a shower a few minutes ago, and as usual I'm back to my computer again. Right now I'm busy browsing Baby Carriers online. One of my friend invited us to a baby shower next weekend. I was wondering what kinds of gifts should i give to the expectant mother, so i called my friend and she told me how about a baby carriers, i was like yeah right, how come i didn't think about it . It seems that everyone wants to get rich. Anyone can be rich, the problem for most people when they start out to get rich is they lack direction. You shouldn't spend a ton of time preparing to get rich. You need to go out and get the job done. Plain and simple. So many people have money right at their finger tips but lose momentum once they get bogged down with obstacles that come up on the road to riches. I will not let that happen.

Another difficultly is the fork in the road after a lot of people get started. When I was in college my junior year and I moved into an apartment building, I moved in across the hall from a bunch of guys that remind me of the characters on Big Bang Theory. At first I was a little put off by them never saying hello in the hall when we would see each other all the time. But I borrowed a cookie sheet a few weeks into the semester and that's what broke the silence and started our friendship.

Watching the season premiere of the show made me think about them and I used my wireless internet Milledgeville to go online and look up what they're doing now with their lives on Facebook. Of course they're all still in grad school. But watching that show really does make me miss living near them.

Mexico Vacation

I had a really fun vacation with my family in Mexico. We stayed in a all inclusive hotel and resort for 12 days and 11 nights. The place was the best place we ever stayed in. The oceanfront property has a spectacular view, i just love everything about this place, the people, the food,the clean surrounding and the white sand beach.Beside the beach they also had 2 big swimming pool for people who doesn't want to go swimming at the beach.

We almost drive around the whole island. We rent a car during our vacation because we want to explore the island. We went to different places, like museum ocean park and a lot of beaches. Christmas Shopping

How are you guys doing with your Christmas shopping this year? Have you done your Christmas shopping yet? We have not done a single thing yet, we just come back last night from our vacation in Mexico. We might do it this weekend but we need to find a babysitter first, you know how hard it is to go shopping with kids. Plus it should be a surprise and its not gonna be a surprise if they already see what we buy for them.

We don't really have a big budget for presents this year because of our recent vacation to Mexico. We had a great time on our vacation so it doesn't matter how much money we spent. It was a great family bonding, it is important to bond with your family once in a while to live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life.

Anyway we might just buy few things for the kids this Christmas. I don't want to buy a lot because they will also get a lot of presents from family and they still have a lot of toys from last year, some of them are not even open yet and just setting in the basement. We might also order flower online for my mother in law. We don't know what to get for her, she already have everything so its hard to decide and since she love flowers and gardening, this would be a great present for her. Dentist Appointment

We got a call from our dentist today, reminding us that it is time to visit their office again. I can't believe it has been a year already since our last visit. 7th Wedding Anniversary

I'm so excited, our 7Th wedding anniversary is coming up in 2 weeks. Has it been 7 years already? Wow! Time flies so fast these days, it's so hard to believe that it has already been seven years since we got married. We've been through a lot in our seven years of marriage. Like any other married couple, we have our ups and downs but we've managed to keep our marriage strong.

I thank GOD for giving me a wonderful husband. I am very grateful for having a loving, caring, supportive and understanding husband. I'm an impatient brat and sometimes hard to handle but he has been very supportive and patient with me. He is also a good provider and a great father to our two adorable kids. I am very happy, very content and satisfied with my life right now, i couldn't ask for more.

I don't know what to get my husband for our wedding anniversary , but i want to buy a celtic wedding bands for both of us. I don't think I have enough money though, but let see! I might have to use all my savings to purchase a celtic wedding bands.

Las Vegas

Last month, my cousin from Washington State invited us to go with them in Las Vegas, too bad we weren't able to go. Its so hard to go anywhere with two kids especially my kids are still small and I don't like leaving my kids either, I always take them wherever I go.

Las Vegas has always been one of my dream destinations, one of the places I've always wanted to visit since I first arrived here in America. But who knows, maybe someday I will get a chance to visit this beautiful place.My cousin have uploaded tons of pictures after they got back from their vacation. She said they had a wonderful time and everything was perfect. They stay there for 5 days. Each day they go to a different place and experience new activities. They went to Las Vegas golf club, Las Vegas Stratosphere Tower, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. I laughed when she said she went to Las Vegas and didn’t gamble a dime. As we all know Las Vegas is best known for gambling.

Anyway, I enjoyed viewing all the pictures she downloaded on her facebook account.

Package Lost

I was so excited to get the mail this morning,i even woke up extra early to make sure i wont miss the delivery. I ordered some stuff online couple days ago, the package was supposed to be delivered today. I tracked it online using the tracking number that they give me and it says that my package was out for delivery. I open the front door and patiently waiting for the mailman to knock on the door. After hours of waiting, i finally saw the mailman's truck, i was standing at the door and waiting for him to get out of the vehicle and hand me the package but he never did.

Just to make sure, I went outside and checked the mailbox again, i found some mails, one of them was from my mother in law, it was cancer awareness ribbons, she is an avid supporter of breast cancer awareness and she wants me to wear one.Anyway, I was so disappointed after i got all the mail, there was no package for me. I was gonna call the post office but i decided to wait until tomorrow. Let see if i get lucky tomorrow.

I cant wait to go shopping with my friends this weekend. I'm planning to buy a canada goose parka jacket for my husband. The weather is starting to get cold here and he needs a new jackets to keep him warm and dry during the cold season. He's been complaining a lot lately that all his jackets looked already worn out and dirty. It has been two years already since the last time he went shopping for jackets, he badly needs a new jackets right now. The canada goose parka jacket will be my early Christmas gift to my husband.

Restaurant Job

So today i got a call from my good friend, who worked in a restaurant. She told me that the restaurant where she works has an opening and she wants me to submit my resume as soon as possible, that was really nice of her. She knows that I've been looking for a job for quite a while now, but i cant seem to find one. I am planning to drive to the restaurant where she works tomorrow to submit my resume. I hope I get this job, i really need it.

I'm glad that my friend is willing to give me some tips about the nature of her job. Like how to deal with customers, risk assessment for food preparation, cooking and all that stuff. She said working in a restaurant can be stressful,it means you will have to deal with a lot of people everyday. You need to learn how to deal with different kind of people, including your boss and co workers.

I'm excited to submit my resume tomorrow, and i hope they will consider me for the position.I'm crossing my fingers, wish me luck guys!

Im Worried

I've been trying to get a hold of my friend, it has been almost two weeks already since the last time we talked. I been calling her phone but its no longer available, I didn't see any updates on her facebook profile either. I'm a little bit worried and I really hope they're doing fine.

I miss talking to her, we used to talk everyday for hours and we never run out of stories to share. She's the first person i talked in the morning and the last person i talked before i went to bed. The last time we talked, she told me that she and her husband are planning to buy a house this year. They are currently renting an apartment in South Carolina and they are both working hard to buy their first dream house. She want a 3 bedroom house and of course a big kitchen because she love to cook.

She showed me few pictures of houses that she found online that she and her husband both liked. I told her they need to do more research and find more Charleston real estate first before they decided to buy their first home.

Last week,my husband decided to sell all his pneumatic tools like stapling guns, drills and wrenches on Ebay. I have never tried selling things on ebay, I don't know if it is a good idea, since this is my first time selling stuff on ebay. It's not about the money why we are selling this items, my husband wants to get rid of it because he wants to buy a new one. He is planning to purchase a brand new set of pneumatic tools but we don't have enough room for a new one, so i told her he needs to get rid of the old ones first before he can buy a new set.Im glad that he agree with me.

We are planning a family vacation to Florida next year year. Planning for vacation can be a stressful experience especially if you have kids. All of which you might believe, but I believe I do have a life. A great one. One where I spend time with my family, where I have conversations and read and get outside and do things that are fun and exercise and focus on what’s important and spend my free time the way I want. So, if you’d like some tips on frugal living, here are just a few, from a cheapskate. I should note that I do most, but not all, of these tips.

Go with one car. Many families have two or more cars. Besides your house, your car is probably your most expensive item. If you can do with one, you should. My wife and I both work, and we have six kids, and yet we have learned to manage with one car.

Go with a smaller house. Just because you can afford a larger house, doesn’t mean you should live in one. Live in as small a house as you can and still be comfortable. I don’t mean you should live in a one-room apartment with a family of four … you know what I mean. You can save thousands a year with a smaller house. Many times, if you get rid of a lot of clutter, you don’t need a large house.

Rent rather than own. This will probably spark a huge debate, as it always does. The thing is, just don’t assume that buying is the better investment. If you calculate the interest you pay on a mortgage, the cost of insurance and maintenance, buying is often much more costly than renting … and if you rent, save money, and then invest the difference, you can actually end up well ahead in the long run. Look for used first. If you need something — I mean really need it, not just want it — see if someone you know has one that they don’t use or need anymore. I'm so excited about our upcoming family vacation in Cozumel Mexico. We are leaving the first week of December, Yup, 6 more weeks to go. I cant wait to see this place, its my first time going to Cozumel. I've been to Cancun a couple times already, so when my husband booked our next trip i asked him if there was perhaps another destination that we could go to. He then showed me a pictures of Cozumel's beaches, i fell in love with the place right away. Mexico is one of my favorite travel destinations because it reminds me of home,the weather, the people and the food.I love their white sand beaches and gorgeous blue water.

Someday i would also like to visit Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. I have heard a lot about this place from friends. Its a nice, relaxing place with a lot of nice white sand beaches. Martha’s Vineyard is a popular tourist destination because of its beautiful coastline, white sand beaches, rich history and thriving culture.

Shopping Time

My friends went shopping yesterday and they invited me to go with them, but unfortunately I was busy doing some errands that day. I promised to go with them the next time they go out. I'm excited to go shopping again, it has been a while since i bought something for myself.I have been really good lately so i think i deserve a little something. I also want to buy plus size lingerie for my mom.

I'm planning to send a balikbayan box to Philippines before Christmas. I'm collecting stuff as early as now to fill the box up to the top. I still need to purchase more clothes for my niece,nephews, sisters and brothers. I know I'm gonna need a lot of money for this, that is why I'm doing it one thing at a time. I wish i have a lot of money so i don't have to wait for a store to have a sale but unfortunately money is so tight right now. That doesn't stop me from shopping though, but I know my limitations.That is why i always bring cash when i go shopping and when the cash is gone, ill stop shopping.

I had a very busy day today, i start my day cleaning up our kitchen. I spend almost two hours in the kitchen area. I scrub the sink with baking soda, removed all the stains and spots out of the countertop, mop and scrub the floor. My sink and countertops are now sparkling and looking like new. After the kitchen i went to the living room, i picked up all the kids toy, i found some broken toys so i put it all in the the garbage bag. I do not want my kids to get into an accident from the broken pieces. I carefully dust all the furniture and sprayed furniture polish afterwards to make it clean and shinny. I also vacuumed the floor to get rid of all dust, debris and dirt. Well yeah its tiring, but it's all worth it

Now that I'm done with the kitchen and living room, there are only a few more rooms to go. I'm planning to clean all the bathrooms tomorrow if i have enough time because we are planning to go shopping for throw pillow and comforters. I hope we can find a good deal at the store tomorrow.

Being respectful starts with respecting ourselves. By being both objective and loving about who we are, we build the start for improving relationship with the one we care for, and the world. My old Friend

I received a message from my high school friend today while I'm browsing photos on facebook. I'm actually surprised, i haven't seen her for a long time. I just realized It's already been 6 years since i last saw her. After our high school graduation we never get a chance to see each other again. She decided to leave our hometown to look for a job. Her family can no longer afford to send her to college so she had no choice but to leave our hometown.

So we talked for almost 3 hours. She's currently working in a restaurant to support herself and going to school at the same time. I'm really proud of her despite all the hardships and suffering that she experienced, she till managed to survive through everything. She's a very brave and smart woman, that's what i like about her. But because of her busy schedule she forgot about her love life,she is still single. I told her that she needs to find a man who will love her for who she is.She said she cannot find herself a man, so i told her she might need someone to play matchmakers for her. My friend invited us to a party at her house this weekend. Shes organizing a surprise farewell party for our very close friend who's moving to South Carolina next month. It's time to buy another pair of nursing uniform. I just got a message from my niece today, she accidentally put a hole on her scrubs while doing their clinical. She didn't tell me what exactly happened, i think she's scared i will get mad.

I hate this time of year, its a Cold and flu season again. Everyone in the house is sick right now because of the weather change, we are suffering from cold, cough and fever. I had this annoying cough for a few days now, being sick really sucks especially if you also have a sick child that needs your attention all time.My son has a fever that keeps coming back after a few hours.

Hawaii Vacation

We had a wonderful dinner with my father in law at my house today. I cooked a lot of food for us, as expected we didn't eat them all but i send all our leftovers to my father inlaw, I hate to waste food and throw them out. Throwing out food is like throwing away money. Anyway, I'm glad my father inlaw visited us today, Its been 5 weeks since we last saw him. The kids miss their grandpa so much.

He told us that he is planning a vacation to Hawaii in November. He asked my husband if he wants to go, but unfortunately my husband doesn't have enough paid vacation days, he cant take vacation until next year. He already use all his paid vacation when he went to Florida last month. Plus we cant afford to take a vacation right now, especially in this economy. My father inlaw is already retired so he can go whenever he want and he surely can afford it. He is currently looking for Maui Condos. We promised to help him book his trip, we might do it next week.

We've all been upset. Sadness is a totally natural emotional response to certain environmental stimuli. Most of us have support, or systems in place to overcome sadness, reach balance, and go on to be happy as quickly as possible.

This has always been my downfall; I don't drink enough and chances are you don't either. Some days I drink only 1 cup of water, and I feel horrible. When I remember, and drink 2-3 liters, I'm happy as a kitten on cat-nip, and productive as a bat out of hell.

Friendships
Your life force, support system, and everything that matters. It's not hard to make friends if you put the time in. Everyone wants to be heard, appreciated, and loved. Start off by listening, appreciating and loving, and it will come back your way.

Reading
Take a temporary leave from reality and bury yourself in one of your favorite books. A lot of wise people have been through what you're going through and they made it through to the other side to tell about it.

Journal
This could be an escape but it doesn't have to be. You can write about fiction, and transport yourself to another world, or you can write about what's going on, and let your thoughts carry you through to a solution. Many great books were written by people who were, at least at the time, going through a period of pain and suffering.

I'm so excited, my friend's birthday is coming up soon and I'm throwing a birthday party at my house. We invited some close friends and family over to celebrate with us. She is my very best friend and one of the nicest people I know. She's like a sister to me and we have lots of things in common. I finally had a chance to talk to my cousin today, It has been a long time since we've seen each other. We had a fun weekend, we went to my friends birthday party and stayed there until ten o'clock in the evening. The kids had a blast playing with other kids on the party. Here is a cold hard fact: not everyone is going to like us. It's true, and there is nothing we can do about that; the sooner we accept it, the better. Human beings are essentially the same, yet we are also different. Our biology, for the most part, is the same. We are born with the same set of instincts, thus we are automatically put into direct conflict with one another. It almost seems like a cruel joke that we have to go after the same things, yet somehow get along. So, our instincts are the same, yet many of our thoughts differ. The instincts drive the thoughts, thus making us feel different and unique.

These similar instincts, which drive many different thoughts, will create conflict; it's unavoidable. We must strive to not avoid conflict, but address it in a healthy manner. I say this not from a pedestal, but from the ground level; I need to see this also, as I still have more work to do.

Now, other than saying "no" when appropriate, what I try to do is speak up for myself. This means if I feel like I need something, I ask for it. For me, this most often comes into play at work. It doesn't mean I'll get my way, but it means I am speaking up for myself.

Also, it is worth noting that people don't have the right to be rude to us. If someone steps out of line, we can simply say "that's uncalled for, I don't appreciate it". Simple as that.
